Homeschool Course Description: Geometry introduces the key shapes of the triangle and the circle which are imperative to understanding the world around us. Algebra 1 is a required pre-requisite for this class. We will cover right triangles, transversals, circles, lines tangent to circles, surface and lateral area, volume, prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders. This class also challenges students by doing proofs, which will teach them how to problem solve in a systematic, step by step manner and justify their results.
