I really struggled with the ACT before going to Tika. She welcomed me into her home and went above and beyond to help me! She really gets to know how YOU learn and find the best way to help you achieve your academic goals. After my first session I already left with more knowledge than when I walked in. With her help my score improved significantly and I can now get into my dream college!!:)) You will seriously never find a more personal tutor than Tika. Before I went to Tika, I struggled with my classes. Last year I was not doing well in math and then after the first session with Tika, I was already understanding the material more. Tika has helped me with school in a lot of ways and sets goals for me that I will achieve.

CarpeDiem Academics is outstanding. Tika helped my son raise his math grade almost two letter grades in a short period time. She had a great rapport with him which made him eager to learn. He never complained about going. He really enjoyed working with her. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does. She really cares about her students. She made sure to get to know him and make him feel comfortable. That to me is very hard to find sometimes. I highly recommend her and if needed will bring my other three kids to her. When I first heard I was going to have a tutor I was bummed out but when I got to the session she changed my life completely. She not only helped me get my grades up in a fast and efficient way she helped me understand myself better and helped me work through my feelings and emotions, Tika is the best life coach and tutor out there. She finds unique connections with everyone she meets and helps them through any problem they have and is always there for you when you need her to give advice or just help you with a complicated problem. If you don’t have her in your life you are missing out she changed mine and I will forever be grateful.

My sophomore year of high school I was struggling a lot with bad grades and missing assignments. After just 2 in person sessions with Tika I was already back on track with school. Then, during our time of virtual meetings during Covid, I was still gaining so much confidence with my study skills and saw a big improvement in my grades and test performance. Tika isn’t just a tutor, she helps with so much more: class decisions, figuring out college, and just life in general. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!!

When my daughter was a sophomore and classes were more rigorous, she struggled. We didn’t start with CarpeDiem Academics until March, but I’m glad we did. Tika is wonderful. She not only helped my daughter with her academics but also with organization which she sorely lacked. And my daughter totally connected with Tika and never dreaded going. Tika is personable, kind and good at what she does. You can tell she truly cares about kids and is able to easily build a relationship. Awesome tutor to say the least, I've learned so much in the past year from her. Some days I didn't pick a thing up in class but later that day when I went to her I got it by the end of session with ease. Tika is really good at what she does with tutoring and supporting you as a student making sure you stay on track. If you haven't called yet make sure you call you'll make a close friend with Tika.
